Emancipation- that is what I long for.
To be free of the chains tying me down, holding me back.
Being forced or pressured to do something is simply intolerable.
But by succumbing and doing the thing that I do not want to, I am giving in to my cowardice as I am too afraid of saying no.
A good lesson nonetheless, for next time.

I think the internet and our mobile phones are definitely making us more disconnected from each other- but as long as we’re aware of it, we can do something about it. When you’re with a friend, resist the temptation of both checking the #facebook newsfeed, put down your #iPhones and have a proper conversation with your friend before its too late and you find that your real world socialising skills have long been extinct.
